| Earlier today, around 20:46 Melfa Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company units responded to the area of Killmontown Rd for a report of a single-vehicle accident involving a vehicle that left the roadway and struck a tree.
Engine 105 (PAR 2) and Medic 102 (PAR 2) arrived on scene and conducted a thorough assessment. Upon arrival, it was determined that the single occupant of the vehicle was not on scene. Fire and EMS personnel remained on location to ensure scene safety and to provide support for law enforcement while the vehicle was recovered by a wrecker service.
Lieutenant Michael Colona (Lieutenant 10) established and maintained command of the incident. After the vehicle was safely removed and the scene was secured, all units were cleared and returned to service.
Melfa Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company reminds motorists to drive attentively and adjust speeds to roadway and weather conditions. We appreciate the continued cooperation between fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies in keeping our community safe. |
