| Melfa Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company (Station 10), alongside Onancock Volunteer Fire Department (Station 9) and Tasley Volunteer Fire Company (Station 8), responded to the 26000 block of Redwood Road for a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries.
Medic 100 and Engine 105 made the response from Station 10. Upon arrival, crews located a single vehicle that had left the roadway and struck a tree. EMS personnel quickly initiated patient assessment and care, evaluating the driver on scene for injuries.
Initial command of the incident was established by Chief 9 and later transferred to Chief 10 to manage ongoing operations. Crews remained on location for approximately two hours to ensure scene safety, patient care, and roadway clearance.
The Virginia State Police responded to the scene and conducted the official crash investigation. Once the investigation was completed, the involved vehicle was safely removed from the roadway.
Command was subsequently terminated, and all units cleared the scene and returned to service.
