| On May 3, 2026, the Melfa Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company, Inc. was alerted to assist with a working residential structure fire in the 14000 block of Shell Bridge Road in Painter.
Tanker 108 responded to the incident. Upon arrival, command directed Tanker 108 to establish a water supply operation by tying into Engine 12-5 and supplying them with water. Additional crew members from Tanker 108 assisted with fire suppression efforts, as well as salvage and overhaul operations.
Crews remained on scene for approximately two hours. Through coordinated teamwork and strong mutual aid operations, the fire was brought under control.
